First, fill the reservoir with water. Seat the plastic plug into the hole in cap and screw cao snugly onto filled water tank, careful to not cross the thread. Locate a dry, flat area to place base of waterer and set water tank onto base. The spike in the center of the base will dislodge the plug in the cap of the tank and automatically fill the water base.
