In our efforts to continuously improve digestion for your pets, we optimized fiber levels in our formulas by using more whole ingredients like chickpeas and reducing others like beet pulp to improve on our guarantee of small, firm stool.

Why did we remove the name of WHOLESOME ESSENTIALS?

We felt that since all the ingredients in each of our recipes are wholesome and essential to the benefits of the recipe, it was unnecessary to call it out on just 1 of our lineups.

Are the Lamb & Rice Recipes still Limited Ingredient Diet?

Yes. Our Limited Ingredient Diets are designed to help minimize food sensitivities by limiting the type of ingredients used to those not commonly associated with food sensitivities. There will still only be 1 novel animal protein in each pack – lamb and lamb meal. The Venison Meal, Whole Brown Rice & Oatmeal Recipe and Fish, Whole Brown Rice & Potato Recipe will also remain as Limited Ingredient Diet with only 1 novel animal protein source. Although some formulas have additional carbohydrate sources (e.g. chickpea and split pea), we are still limiting the type of ingredients to those that are not commonly associated with food sensitivities (i.e. we still do not have wheat or corn).

Yes. We have increased essential nutrients in our wet dog formulas so that feeding guidelines can be tailored to the energy needs of inactive dogs while still providing optimal nutrition and meeting essential nutrient requirements.
